Digital Artwork and ROC ART on display at the Agawam Public Library

The Agawam Public Library celebrates the New Year with two unique art exhibits for the month of January. Visitors will enjoy Digital Artwork by Sadie Parrotta on the library’s gallery walls. Sadie is a 16-year-old self-taught artist who specializes in digital artwork. Her primary creative focus is on character drawing, but loves to dabble in a wide variety of subject matters. Sadie has showed her work in various art shows in the area.

In the double glass cases, “ROC ART” from artist M. K. Noble will be on display. ROC ART is a multi-media art form using recycled materials such as pieces of sheetrock and Styrofoam, along with plaster, cement and acrylic paint. Mr. Noble describes his art this way: “Inspiration for this art form came from my love of brick and mortar buildings (both old and new) and art nouveau designs and fun with abstract creations.” Both exhibits will be on display through the month of January during regular library hours, Monday-Thursday 9:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m., Friday 10:00 a.m. -6:00 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Please contact Adult Services Librarian, Cher Collins at (413) 789-1550 X8851 or for more information or if you are interested in displaying artwork or collections at the library.
