RE: Library Phased Re-Opening

Updates from the Agawam Public Library

The Agawam Public Library will begin to provide a phased re-opening over the coming weeks and months. Library staff will be reporting to work Monday, May 18th. However, the library will remain closed to the public at this time. Our phone system will be operating later during this week. We are working on getting curbside services up and running as soon as possible.

The library book drops near the library’s entrance are open. We expect many returns, so please be mindful not to overfill the drops. If they appear full, or your items do not fit, please do not leave items on the ground as they may get damaged. We request that our patrons only return Agawam items at this time. There is no state-wide delivery and items will not return to their home libraries for several weeks. It is worth noting that our items will be quarantined for one week upon their return. There will be a delay in items coming off your library card record and we ask for your patience. There is no rush to return items as there are still NO OVERDUE FEES accruing during this time. C/W MARS has updated all due dates and all items are due July 1st.

Stay tuned to our social media outlets for daily updates and information. Please contact the Agawam Library with any and all questions regarding library services during the shutdown. We can be reached at libstaff@agawam.ma.us
