AuthorTalk with Ellen Meeropol Author of Kinship of Clover

May 1, 2017 at 7:00:  Author Ellen Meeropol returns to the APL with her newest novel, Kinship of Clover, a work of political fiction.

Botany major, Jeremy, was nine when the vines first wrapped themselves around him and burrowed into his skin.  Now he is desperately looking for a way to listen to the plants and stave off their extinction.  Encountering a group of climate-justice activists whose devotion may have him tangled up in more trouble than he was prepared for,  the question becomes, “How far is too far?”

Meeropol, a former nurse practitioner and part-time bookseller, is also the author of On Hurricane Island and House Arrest and the dramatic program, Carry it Forward, about the Rosenberg Fund for Children.
