How to Return an Item
You may return any Agawam items, or any CW/MARS Library Network items to the Agawam Public Library.
Conversely, with the exception of items borrowed from outside the CW/MARS Library Network, you may return your Agawam Public Library materials at any CW/MARS Network Library.Click for a list of CW/MARS Libraries.
Items may be returned in our book and audiovisual drops only when the library is closed.
How to Renew an Item
Renewing gives you the opportunity to keep an item for one additional loan period. Most library material is renewable as long as no one is waiting for the item, however museum passes are not renewable. Materials borrowed outside the CW/MARS Network may or may not be renewable. You may renew items at the library, by phone, or on the Web. Click to renew items online.
How to Request an Item
If you want an item which is currently out or only available at another CW/MARS Network Library, you may request the item in person at the library's Information, Reference, or Children's Desks. You may also place the request over the phone by calling the Reference Desk at 789-1550 ext. 8862, or the Children's Desk at ext. 8864, or by e-mail at reference@agawamlibrary.org. We will notify you by e-mail or phone when your item is being held for you at the library. You may also request the item yourself online from the library's catalog.
Please note the library does not accept requests for the Agawam Library's DVDs. Also, you may only request 3 items a day by phone or at the library. You can place more than 3 requests online, however you are allowed a total of 20 requests on your library card at one time.
